I was lucky enough to be invited to the Houston Auto Show with She Buys Cars. I was excited and curious to go since I have never been to one and didn’t know what to expect. Jesus went with me and we had a blast. We attended the preview party which was divine. There was live music, lots of Selena songs which I loved, dressed up fabulous people, delicious food, endless drinks, and most importantly the most beautiful cars in the market.
Toyota has always had a sweet spot in my heart. After moving to Texas and started attending the Art Institute of Houston my father gifted me a brand new Camry to make the 40 minute commute to and from school every day. Many years later my car is still going strong and thankfully has not given any major issue other than maintenance care. The lineup looked amazing and made me want to update my Camry to a newer model.
Jesus was all over every truck, comparing and testing out which one was better than the other. It wasn’t until I left that I realized that I now see car buying completely different. Attending press conferences, test driving, going through obstacle courses, and features now has me thinking about why I like a car. Not just the color or make, but I’m now taking what options are available on what cars very seriously. The days of “I don’t care as long as it’s red” are gone.
If you get the chance I recommend that you attend a car show and learn what car truly suits you and your lifestyle the best.
