NEON LIGHTS

I am beyond obsessed with this dress! Look at those colors! Browsing through the Asos website I found this amazing dress by John Zack. This dress is marketed as a prom dress but since during my high school days prom dress were practically ball gowns this to me is not a prom dress, it’s more of a cocktail dress. (Yes that is my excuse for buying a prom dress and I am sticking to it, lol.) Either way I knew I had to have it. Even though I love neon I’m very selective on my neon picks. Neon colors on garments are very tricky, for me it’s a hit or miss. It’s either super cute or super tacky. This dress to me is super cute.

I love the black background of the dress and multicolored swirls. It’s a lot going on but not too much. The cut of this dress is super girly and flirty. I’m not big on dresses and when I do wear dresses they’re usually shift dresses but this one fits nicely and comfortable. I was a little hesitant in ordering this since it’s only available in petite sizes. I’m on the border of the petite and women size charts because of my height. I ordered one size up from my normal size which was good cause the fit is perfect. I always get excited when I find dresses that fit since it’s such a tedious task.

It’s super fun to find dresses like this. It’s bright and bold and definitely commands attention. Sometimes I think who are the girls who actually wore this to their prom. What kind of girls are they? How are they like? Looking back at my prom dress I regret getting the one I got. The color was completely muted and looked more like I was going to gala than the prom. I wish I would have gone with a fun dress but at least now I get to wear this one. Since there’s so much going on already I wore some nude cage booties and a black purse. I also went into my moms closet and picked out these sunnies, all my sunnies are a bit too much for this dress.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
