This blog is dedicated to the girls and women who live their life outside the box. They like to take the trends and norm and twist it to their own. They’re not afraid to try new things or be in the spotlight. She knows her place in the world and lives it to the max. She loves every single shade of life and knows it’s beautiful just like a rainbow. She knows she’s unique and that there is no one else like her. She finds inspiration where most others wouldn’t. And above all she wants to live life as bright and beautiful as neon colors.
Thank you so much for stopping by The Neon Factor. I started this blog back in 2012 while going to college. I was stretching myself extremely thin going to school full time and working two part time jobs. Sleeping was truly a luxury. I loved browsing the The Blonde Salad and Style Scrapbook, Chiara and Andy inspired me to start my own blog.
Now having a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion & Retail Management under my belt and managing full time in a family owned retail establishment I now mostly blog on my time off. I still love it as I did on day one. I obsess over unique pieces and get so excited when styling them. No matter how hard I try planning outfits and organizing looks for the blog is definitely not me. I wake up and go through all sections of my wardrobe, it’s like a puzzle. I never know what the outfit will look like until the pieces I pick come together.
I also now have over 15 years of retail expeierence. At the tender age of 14 I started to help my parents on their new business. Now enterting my 30’s I have gained a vast amount of on the job training of owning and managing a business. It’s so much more than what people think, I like to think of a buinsess as your own child. You can guide it the best you can and make all of the smartest chances for your business but at the end of the day the business will let you know how it wants to be managed. Having enter the world of retail at such a young age has made me develope a great appriciation to the American Hustle, refusing to follow anybody’s 9 to 5 rules.
I love to follow trends but always work the trends around my wardrobe since every piece I buy is more of my personal collection than just another garment in the closet. I think that’s the key to personal style. Always keep your style and add pops of trends into your wardrobe.
